Tennessee State University Health Science Building

Nashville,TN

The Tennessee State University Health Sciences Facility will be a new 93,000 SF building on the campus located in downtown Nashville.

It will be a four-story steel-framed building with instructional labs, classrooms, administrative offices, and shared common areas. The building will house the Cardio Respiratory, Health Information Management, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy Departments for the University.

Our scope of work also consists of updating the capacity of the Central plant and demolition of two other buildings on campus. This project will meet the Tennessee High-Performance Building Requirements.

The site included building about 1,000 of campus road to create a complete loop at the end of campus. Stormwater includes improving drainage around the new building, upgrading existing drainage across existing roadways and building a new spillway to disperse water evenly to an existing pond. A new 71-space parking lot was constructed including a new crosswalk.
